Permission to be Positive â¤ď¸đđ
Over the past week, the pandemic has caused a lot of change in a short amount of time. One day can feel like one week. The aocdf would like to mention these tips for those with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder: 1. Sit with the emotions and allow others to sit with theirs. It can be frightening to see our parents and/or loved ones struggle with anxiety, panic, fear, anger, hopelessness, etc. Since they are our main supports and/or caregivers, we look to them for safety/security.

YYC OCD Group - TBD!đ
UPDATE March 16 2020 Due to COVID-19, the Alberta libraries cancelled all room bookings. Our first OCD Support Group in Calgary is now unfortunately, cancelled. The group will be held on the last Tuesday of the month, so look back for updates. Once the library allows for booking, the group will be up and running. The aocdf held a meeting in Calgary this past weekend with three new volunteers; Katie, Cam and Angel. The group connected through the aocdf, social media and the aocdf chat rooms. The three are strong advocates for OCD and recognize the need for an OCD support group in Calgary. They want other OCD sufferers in Calgary to know, "you are not alone." This is the 2nd year Dr.Felicity Sapp from Calgary organized âThe OCD Challengersâ team to participate in the RBC Walk/Run for Children's Mental Health.
